Deepak Jain is a blogger from Jeypore, India. He blogs at Mobile Gyaan. He blogs mostly about mobiles and internet technologies. He was once invited be a leading indian news channel to speak about mobile hacking while he was still a teenager.

A 20 year old cell freak and tech enthusiast from Orissa, India who always wants to explore and share interesting stuffs from the world of mobiles, technology and web 2.0 that would interest others and help them make most out of their gadgets.

In the offline world, Deepak is a student of ICAI (Institute of Chartered Accountants of India) and simultaneously pursuing his bachelors degree in Commerce.

For those who don’t know you, can you tell us something about yourself?

Hi, my name is Deepak Jain. Currently I blog at Mobile Gyaan about mobiles and also hold a position of ‘Senior Editor’ at Devils’ Workshop wherein I blog about technology (Web 2.0 & computers) that interests me. In the offline world I am student of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and have recently completed my Bachelors Degree in Commerce.

Do you like Pizzas?

Yes. But I am not a die-hard pizza lover.

How long have you been blogging? What are your favorite topics?

Its been around two and half years since I posted the first blog post. As mentioned earlier, I always love discovering and sharing tech and mobile related stuff.

Have you always wanted to be a blogger? What would you be if you weren’t a blogger?

I entered the blogging world just because of my passion to discover and share tips and loopholes that I come across and I found blogging to be the best platform to do so. Though, I was even given a chance by a leading news company to showcase one of the loopholes I discovered related to SMS technology.

My other career option would have been something related to Accounts and marketing had I not been into blogging.

You are so much interested in Mobile technologies. What do think about the future of mobile?

Personally, I am anxiously waiting for Mobile Number Portabiltiy to be launched in India that will definitely change the way people use mobile phones! It will bring stiff competition and make service providers to improve their services.

Where do you see yourself 5 years from now? Do you ever think of starting your own mobile company?

I hope I am going to be well off in the coming years with the pace I developing at. Yes, I would love to be the owner of a company in the future.

Have you ever been in a controversy? If so, what was it like?

Yes, controversies are part and parcel of life. You do anything good and you get into controversies!

What is your next big idea, your own Proud Idea?

I do have a BIG idea that I am supposed to implement in a couple of months. If it gets successful, it will automatically be uncovered to the world.

If you were asked to act in a movie as the lead star, which hollywood movie would you choose? Whom would you choose as a female lead?

I am not a movie (or acting) buff. I just watch them on the weekends just to refresh myself.

I sleep much and its usually hard for me to keep myself off the bed early in the morning.
